BEVERLY HOEY, Attorney
at Law, has practiced law in California since 1979. Prior to becoming
an attorney, Ms. Hoey was a youth ambassador abroad under a pilot program
for President Kennedy. She taught history on the college level, and was
a guidance counselor/vice-principal for emotionally disturbed juvenile
delinquents for the State of Ohio. From 1985 to 1988, Ms. Hoey took a
hiatus from the practice of law and sold and leased commercial and residential
properties. Beverly earned her B.A. in History and in Psychology from
San Jose State University, her M.A. in European History from Ohio University,
M.B.A. in Taxation from Golden Gate University, and her JD from Golden
Gate University. Beverly belongs to the California State Bar Association
Probate and Real Estate Sections, the Eastern Alameda County Bar Association
(President,1996), and is a Judge Pro-tem for Livermore-Pleasanton-Dublin
Small Claims Court and Traffic Court. Beverly is also a member of Tri-Valley
Estate Planning Council (President, 2000) and the Tri-Valley Probate Club.
Beverly serves on the Board of Directors for the Keystone Adult Learning
Center, is a member of the Pleasanton Downtown Rotary, and is the chairperson
for the Rotarian Mentor Program. In the past, she has served on the Pleasanton
Youth Collaborative committee, the Committee for Pleasanton 2000, and
the Pleasanton Downtown Association. Besides practicing law, Beverly is
a licensed real estate broker and notary public, and is an accomplished
artist in watercolor and oils.
